Pip Award

Today at 8:02am I received a text stating I had been awarded PIP as a first time claimant. My timeline is I had my telephone assessment Monday 8th January, I had a text Tuesday afternoon stating they had received the written report and today Friday 12th I received confirmation of an award. After reading other people's experiences I was convinced it would take weeks to hear anything and I was bracing myself for a possible MR, it just goes to show how wrong anyone can be. A speedy resolution, I have to add that the lady who undertook my assessment was kind and showed empathy.

Great to hear one of the (majority) positive experiences.

Thanks! It's a relief and the speed of the award from the assessment has amazed me.Beaver79 said:Hi @WeepingWillow Great news. Well done.1 -
I have been treated well not just because of the decision but the assessor on this weeks rearranged assessment was kind without being condescending. I count myself lucky because I know other do struggle to get the right response for their conditions.66Mustang said:Great to hear one of the (majority) positive experiences.

Oh, lucky you! If only that would happen for me... At least I now know there is hope that it won't take too long.1

The thing that put me off putting a claim was the horror stories. I have to say credit where credit is due the whole experience hasn't been as daunting as I thought it would be. Nice to be believed as well.woodbine said:It's always good to hear about a positive experience0
