Oh my goodness, I wasn’t expecting this at all, it’s so kind of you @JessieJ for thinking of me! Thank you!Thank you also to everyone else for such kind words!
This is my first time online since Saturday morning. It’s been so busy! I’m so tired too! The actual move was totally stress free.I had a removal company to do all the hard work this time. (First time ever) they were amazing. Everything was taken out of my other house in 1 hr and 35 minutes. A little longer to put everything back into my new house. They even put all my furniture exactly where I wanted it. As well as put the duvets and pillow cases back on the beds 😂
The painter and decorator finished my living room, landing and stairs today and it looks amazing! Such a massive transformation! We could finally open all the boxes for that room.Just upstairs to sort out now and waiting for flooring in 2 small rooms. We have heating, the boiler was repaired last Thursday 😁We love it here!! The best thing of all is being able to have a shower without so many problems.
Which brings me to a little story… I turned the shower on last night and heard a noise, sounds a little like someone burping 😂 I wondered what the heck it was. Then I realised it’s the rather large plug hole in the shower room sucking the water down 😂😂 so funny and never seen anything like that before.More good news! I had a visit from my OT today and also someone to measure up for a stairlift. When I accepted the house I was told there’s at least a 6 month waiting list.Today, he told me that there’s no waiting list, just a few formalities that they need to do and can expect it to be installed within the next month! It will take about 3 hours to install.
Now hopefully my cat will settle a little more and stop meowing all hours of the night. Poor thing he was so stressed 😞4 -
Aww that’s great news Poppy I’m so pleased it all went smoothly for you and your daughter.
That’s amazing about the stair lift.
Everything is falling into place nicely for yous.
All yous have to do is enjoy your lives in your new home. ❤️2 -
You're welcome, Poppy! 🥂So pleased for you that it was a stressfree move & you managed to get a good, thoughtful & speedy crew for the job. Like a lottery win that! 👌Wonderful that you already love it, with the decorating finishing it off for you. A real bonus with the stairlift too, 2024 is proving to be your year & this is just the start. As for your shower, my neighbour had one fitted & I must admit, first time it does give you a start as it burps away. 🤣 I'm still waiting (20months & counting) for my bathroom makeover to happen, seems the waiting list is looong & the council is short of dosh. Then I'll have my very own burping shower. 😎Your pusscat will soon settle, now the worst is over & it can safely check it all out & find its spot.Well m'dear, hoping you, your daughter & pusscat enjoy many, many years of love & laughter in your new forever home.1
