New here so bare with me :)

I had my assessment on the 8th January... and 2 days later requested my Assessors report. Ive received it today and feel most of it is in contradiction of the assessment. For example, A - I am able to cook simple meal unaided. Untrue, I have strength issues in my hands and advised the assessor that I struggle to hold utensils most days but she completely disregarded that - Believe this should have at least been E - I actually had to goto A&E regarding lifting a jug of boiling water because my strength gave way and I dropped the jug over my left hand (I did forget about this on the call as my anxiety was also playing up but again she stated no evidence as I built rapport - not sure what rapport I built with her as I couldnt understand her most of the time). Another, A for Managing medication when I stated that most days my partner needs to prompt me to take my medication as I am forgetful. so believe this should have been C.

Making Budgeting decisions - Got an A - Can make complex budgeting decisions unaided, despite me advising that the thoughts of having to speak with someone regarding bills causing anxiety and my partner deals with this due to it. I dont deal with budgeting as she deals with it.

I suffer from depression and was prescribed sertraline but my doctor and also referred for counselling but in the summary she just pushed this aside by stating poor concentration is acknowledged but not supported and because I was able to provide details of my medication there is no evidence of this.

Another is the fact because I was calm while speaking with her - due to me sitting and now running around this is a problem.

Explained I now work from home due to my MH but assessor states that I feel relaxed if anyone is with me which is untrue. States that despite my medication and working from home that because I didnt take time off work due to MH its effectively not supported.

Assessor states that there is no evidence of my breathlessness despite several hospital investigations with new inhalers prescribed.

I feel the whole report effectively has dismissed around 70% of what the assessor actually asked and got a response to.

I honestly dont know where to go from here as the anxiety before the call caused me distress and I dont know if I could even go through it again.

Any advice appreciated.

You will need to wait for the decision to be made before you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration. Mostly they do go with it but it has been known for them to go against it.

Please also be aware that the assessment process isn't there for them to write what you said word for word. It will be their opinion based on everything you wrote in the form, any additional evidence you sent and what you said during the assessment.

For preparing a meal. Carrying items around the kitchen isn't considered in this activity.

Managing therapy and monitoring a health condition, it would be B, which is 1 point and not 2 points. Descriptors C to F refer to therapy in your own home.

Once you have the decision you can post back here and someone will advise you further. In the meantime, have a read of this, it will give you a little more understanding of the descriptors and what they mean. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria
