I'm a disabled mum and unpaid carer for my two disabled adult children (24 and 26) who live at home with me. I get lonely late at night when I'm still up caring for my eldest son who has a day-night sleep reversal disorder amongst other things. Hoping I can find other parent carers to chat to in the evenings/early hours! Any night owls out there?

Heya @Patience and a big welcome to the community. I hope you're doing ok today?
If you wanted to chat and make some friends, I recommend our Coffee Lounge, or if you wanted to pass some time with some games, our Games Room is the place to be. We have a fair few night owls here, so you'll be in good company.
If you need support with anything, please just ask, we're all here to help.

Hello,
I'm not a parent or carer.. but I am a bit of a night owl. So I am usually around most of the night, at least for now anyway. Hopefully, you will join in on some of the games and we can keep them going through the night?1 -
I used to be such the night owl myself, I am a lot more strict with myself now! Having something that requires me to be awake during the day does help I have to say...1

that sounds like fun, I'll definitely check the games out and hopefully see you there!Autism_at_40 said:Hello,

🦉 I'd be in bed by 10pm every night I think if it was an option, my body has become used to surviving on very little sleep. But I worry about the effect that may be having on my health. But it can't be helped so there's no point worrying!Jimm_Scope said:I used to be such the night owl myself, I am a lot more strict with myself now! I went through 2 years of being unable to sleep at night due to pain, so I survived by power naps during the day.
It took a long while afterwards to get back into anything like a 'normal' sleep pattern, so I usually get to sleep at about 3am now. So you may see me popping by in the middle of the night too.

I have tried to switch my sleeping pattern, but I just can't seem to do it at the moment..0
