Hi guys back again after a few years. So I had an assessment done for a change of circumstances via phone. I am partially sighted with just sight in my right eye and get standard rate. I have since been diagnosed with Discoid Lupus Arethamatosis and have lost around 40- 50% of my hair along with sever pain in my arms and joints in general. I called PIP today to see what the outcome was as got a text Monday saying decision has been made. Whilst on the phone robot lady told me my next payment was £145 which is an odd number it’s less than standard. Has anyone else heard of this as very worried an had to go to tribunal to even get standard.

The automated payment line is known for giving incorrect information and you shouldn’t rely on it.Did you speak to someone when you rang because they will tell you what the decision is if you ask them.0

Hi Poppy thanks for letting me know that I was worried. Unfortunately no I didn’t get through as called at quarter to 5 and about 10 minutes was talking to the automated voice. Will try tomorrow hopefully they will give me an answer.0

Heya @naomi05 welcome back! Please let us know how you get on with the call, I'm hoping it'll give some clarity to the situation.0

Morning Albus unfortunately the payment is correct. They have ended my claim so I will be moving forward with my appeal. Very draining as I had to take it to tribunal the first time.0

That is an utter pain, I understand how draining it can be with tribunals, but you're doing the right thing and we're all here to support you and even take your mind off things if needed.0

I appreciate that soo much and will be back when I am ready to get going with it.1

When you filled out the form did you treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible?Did you also get some expert advice before reporting any changes? If it’s a worsening of condition this doesn’t automatically entitle you to more points for a higher award.Your first step is to request the Mandatory Reconsideration which should be put in writing. You should state where and why you think you should have scored those points. Please do not ring to request it.0

Hi Poppy why should I not ring? Just trying to gather as much needed info as possible as to how I proceed0
-
No expert advise as when it comes to my eye sight that’s never going to change so very taken aback from outcome0

By ringing them how do you know that they are typing what you ask them to?By putting the request it writing you can state where and why you think you should have scored those points and the reasons why.
You didn’t answer this question.poppy123456 said:When you filled out the form did you treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible?0 -
