I thought I would set up this thread to share our journeys

Ah hello fellow challenger!
I was going to do a similar post at the start of the month. Like a diary, so you could all bully me if I tried chickening out.1 -
No problem it's fine I thought it would remind other people who haven't signed up yet. I have had my first donation0
-
No problem @woodbine0
-
Great to hear that you're doing the challenge, @durhamjaide2001! Good luck with your fundraising!0
-
Good luck @durhamjaide2001 I can't do gyms or anything too physical0
-
thanks @Rosie_Scope and @Sandy_123 you don't have to go to the gym are do anything to physical. All is required is to do is to do anything physical that includes the number 16. This could be 16 minutes of walking, 16 push ups or 16 sit to stand it could be literally anything.0

Good morning @Ada.
I've copied below some information from a recent newsletter @Albus_Scope sent, which explains some more about the 16 minutes a day challenge. Albus will also be posting more about his own challenge later in the week. We're launching a new challenge event - 16 Minutes a Day.
Raising funds is vital to our work. And public fundraising – that is, asking wonderful members of the public (that's you) to support us with donations – is a huge part of that. That’s why, in February, we’re holding our new 16 Minutes a Day fundraising challenge. The event is a challenge for everyone. We're asking participants to take on 16 minutes of fitness activity every day throughout February, for the 16 million disabled people in the UK.
The challenge is all done through Facebook, or Meta and it's all about asking people to raise sponsorship by taking on a task that fits their ability.
This can be anything from a stroll to the shops or 16 minutes of powerlifting, through to chair dancing to your favourite tunes or 16 minutes of vigorous dog toy wrestling with the family pet. Whatever you are able to do. It's all for a good cause, let's help end disability inequality!
Albus is also taking part and you can stay informed on how he's getting on with updates on the community.
The challenge officially starts on Thursday 1 February.
- We're encouraging participants to set themselves a fundraising target of £100.
- Participants all receive a beautiful, free Scope t-shirt, but those who raise £150 or more get a nifty Scope enamel badge as a thank you. But any amount raised is reason to celebrate!
- There is no age limit to participation, however under 16s need a parent or guardian to sign them up for the challenge.
This is a new fundraising event, so we'd love your support in making it a success.

It's ok @ada, you can cheer us on from the sidelines.
And as Adrian has said, this is 16 minutes of exercise each day, it can be whatever you can manage. So the dogs will be getting walked every other day with me, then I'll be doing other things on the alternate day to give my ankles and knees a chance to recover.
I'll be posting on day one and I'll make sure I include some dog photos too.1 -
Yes I'll be posted a diary on here, so you can all make sure I'm doing my daily 16 mins.0
-
Haha, I don't think anyone would want to see video proof, unless I was doing something particularly silly, like hoola hooping.0
-
We want videos @Albus_Scope lol0
-
Oh you keep your money @Ada, it's really appreciated, but I know people have money struggles currently. I won't be posting my fundraising details as unfortunately they show my full name etc, which for the staffs own protection I can't really post about. I hope you understand.
But you can cheer us on here and probably laugh at me if I can any photos etc.0 -
Just about to do a post about it.0
-
I'll be doing a bumper update when I'm back on Feb 9th!
If anything extra fun or bad happens, I'll make sure one of the team updates people on my diary discussion.0 -
Oh nothing bad will happen I'm sure of it. The worst that will happen is I clumsily fall over.0
-
And while I'm gone, make sure to check in on @durhamjaide2001 to see how she's been getting on.0
-
Aww thank you @Albus_Scope that's very kind of you. Congratulations for getting to the 2nd page of this I'm pleased that I got the message out1
-
Thank you I was the one who made this thread so of course I'm in.1
