I applied for pip in Oct. I recieved a letter in December saying I was not getting pip. I had recieved a letter dated 30 Nov 2023, saying I had asked them too look at my claim again. I phoned pip, who said the letter saying I was not getting pip was a mistake. I had my assessment on 2nd Jan 2024 in a medical centre. They recieved my report on 5th Jan 2023. I have recieved two texts, and had the letter sent no decision had been made. My assessor at the interview said, she will sort it and it, and I will hear in 4 to 5 weeks. Tomorrow is my 4th week. It is quite stressful the waiting game. My wife recieves pip. And her and friends who recieve it told me to apply as I am worse than them. I am ex forces and been too proud before. If I am refused I will contest the decision.

It can take anything up to 12 weeks for a decision after the assessment report was returned. Once a decision is made you will be contacted.0

Thankyou for your information. The assessor said I should here in 4 to 5 weeks. Guess it's a waiting game.0

Yes, they usually tell you around that timescale but you should allow up to 12 weeks.0
