Now I’ve been awarded pip, can my daughter get a carers allowance?

    Hi @Kayleigh12, congratulations on you award.

    You daughter could claim carers allowance, as long as she fits the criteria here. So it all depends if she looks after you for 35hrs or more, she isn't in full time education and her earnings are £139 or less a week after tax, National Insurance and expenses.

    Your PIP needs to include the daily living part and she must care for you for at least 35 hours per week. 

    Does she claim any benefits herself? If so which ones exactly? If she works then she mustn't earn more than £139/week. 
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
    If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
