hi guys just a quick rant really, i called pip yesterday regarding my decision after waiting 12 months only to be told that i had scored 0 and 1 point from the assessor that i spoke to.
im so worried as my claim is now finished and my car will have to be returned, also stressing about my rent as universal credit has gone down a lot aswell.
on the phone the lady read out the reasons i have gone from high rate to nothing and said one of them from the assessment is because i have been on the same meds for a long time now lol.
i have numerous letters from my professor stating my conditions are permanent and for life etc.
everything the lady read out over the phone is the complete opposite of what myself and my wife stated.
why do they ask if they are going to just guess anyway?
i feel like i have been very badly treated and have been told to just wait for the letter so i can start the mandatory re process,
is that really all i can do?
not sure how i am going to survive financially right now.
thanks.
mike.

Hi @mikky, can I just ask, was this a Review? As you mention you already had support and it took 12 months in total?
We have an advice section on appealing a DWP decision here: Appealing a DWP decision | Disability charity Scope UK
Is there anyone around you who can help you in writing a Mandatory Reconsideration at all?0 -
hi there, yes it was a review.
i have just completed my mandatory reconsideration via a phone call.
i guess ill just have to wait for that now, they said up to 8 weeks.
thanks.0 -
You should really put the request in writing rather than ring to request it. By ringing, you don’t know if they’ve typed at the information you gave them.By putting it in writing you can state exactly where and why you think you should have scored those points.0

so i have had a decision made after the mandatory reconsideration but yet to receive the letter.
this morning i received a payment of £827,
is it worth trying to figure what rate they have put me on or just wait for the letter to explain?
my claim stopped on january the 30th so i guess im just wondering if the payment is including backdadted money from then or not.
many thanks.0 -
That’s great news. The payment will just be the money they owe you. It will not include any 4 weekly payment. You can ring them anytime to ask what the award is and they will tell you. If you’re still not happy you can proceed to Tribunal.0

i asked on the phone and they said they do not have access to the letter?
ive never heard them say that before.
thanks poppy0 -
i got high rate daily living and low mobility but i strongly believe that i should be on high so i am going to take it to an appeal.
they scored me 10 points on mobility.
has anyone been able to keep their motability car whilst waiting for an appeal at all?
just wanted to keep the post updated.
many thanks.0
