Could someone please clarify whether or not having an income of below: £21'749 (in London boroughs) is sufficient to be on the ThamesWater WaterHelp scheme (50% off) or is being on particular benefits required, please advise?

Hi @matthewkevin84, From my understanding of the WaterHelp scheme, it's just based on your income and they just need verification of that.

For the WaterSure bill cap, it's based on being on a means tested benefit, having a disability that affects your water consumption or having three or more children under the age of 19. But that's a different scheme.

I don't think the WaterHelp scheme requires you to be on a means tested benefit, just the low income. You can always contact ThamesWater to see if they can confirm for sure, the number is listed on the information page for WaterHelp, and they have some extra support options should you need them :)
