PIP and the work capability assessment are completely different. PIP isn’t about your ability to work and claiming one doesn’t automatically entitle you to the other.
Lots of people attend the hearing without a representative and go onto be awarded successfully. There’s a 68% success rate at Tribunal.
Do you have a friend or family member that can attend with you?
Have you made sure that you’ve sent all the additional evidence that needs to be sent? You should have received the bundle at some point in the past and you will need to make sure you take that with you on the day.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
No ive got nobody to go with .Ive got loads of paperwork and ive been told to put a letter together to explain about me and why i need this.I did get the bundle from courts. When i did the original assessment i was in a very dark place and did not know wot i was doing in life and hide a lot of my feeling as i was embarrassed and ashamed of me.Then things have got worse over the years ,constantly awaiting dates for help and asseements. The only thing that keeps me going is my son,(lives with his mum) i know i would be here if it was not for him.
