Hope everyone is well I am new to the community but I am happy to be here. I am the petition maker for the recent events in Warwickshire I have joined to try to get some more signatures on my petition to take this to parliament we are nearly at 24k signatures. We protested today at the offices and will continue to do so peacefully until we recieve resignation from the 3 counsellors I hope that everyone can support this. Thank you all so much. The petition may be mentioned on itv and lbc news tonight link is https://chng.it/KTSJyJ8Dpp

Kind regards

I saw this on the news yesterday and all 3 apologised publicly so I don't know the effect this petition will have

Hey everyone, I just wanted to clarify that permission was sought before posting this petition. The attitude the councilors displayed is very much still an issue that disabled people, and children who need education support, still face.

If you are interested what this petition is about and do not know, here is a BBC article about what was said and their apology. Of course many feel the apology is not enough given some of the things said.

Thank you for the comments so far. :) I only intend fo inform anyone interested and appreciate any one reading. Do not feel you need to sign if you do not agree. I just felt this community had a right to be aware. My son is 6 diagnosed with autism and gdd so it's a passion for me

    Thank you

I can answer part of the Councillor Brian Hammersley question about why he never heard about SEND when he was a child. It was because they were removed from main stream schooling and put into special need schools.
