Chinese New Year officially began today, and celebrations will continue until the lantern festival on 24th February. Say goodbye to the Year of the Rabbit 🐇, we're now in the Year of the Dragon 🐉
The Chinese Zodiac cycles through 12 different animals: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
If you're born in the year of the dragon, you're said to be powerful, endlessly energetic and full of vitality. Dragons are supposed to be goal-oriented yet idealistic and romantic, and make visionary leaders.
Famous people born in the year of the dragon include John Lennon (1940), Martin Luther King (1929), Rihanna (1988) and Michelle Obama (1964).
There are multiple birth years for each zodiac animal as it cycles through. If you feel comfortable sharing, what's your Chinese Zodiac? Do you think it sounds like you? If you're not sure what yours is, you can check here. Mine mentions being good with money and accumulating wealth. I'd love to know when that'll start happening
And if you'd rather not share your zodiac animal, have you ever celebrated Chinese New Year? What are your favourite Chinese foods or customs?

I am an Earth Horse. I have a strong sense of responsibility with easy-going, kind-hearted, helpful characteristics, but I like to moan a lot.
According to my Chinese horoscope, this year will bring great fortune in work, but I need to be careful of my health.0 -
I am a Rooster........
Apparently I make the right decision quickly, I am outspoken against injustice, I am a perfectionist and I am rule-abiding.
I'd say that's half right ... injustice bothers me a lot, but I don't speak up about it. I am rule-abiding but only if I think it's the right thing to do, I have learnt that legality and morality while closely related are not complete synonyms!!0 -

With nothing planned for the evening, I delved into exploring the Chinese horoscope. While I am classified as a rat, I extended my research to uncover the characteristics of a fusion between the rat and my Western zodiac sign, Taurus. The findings were intriguing, and I selectively embraced the aspects that appealed to me, opting to disregard any less favourable traits associated with this blend.3 -
Unfortunately I'm the year of The Pig 🐖.0

I am year of the Fire Horse and apparently I was born with intelligence. I am active, lively and outgoing and my personality makes me good at interpersonal relationships. I have confidence and enthusiasm, and will put 100% energy into something I do. I don't give up. Even if I encounter very difficult problems, they will try their best to solve them.
