Hey.
Just wondering if someone could help me.
So I've been claiming pip for about a year now.. I get standard on both payments.
And my therapist said I may be entitled to a higher payment due to changes in Social support..
How would I even ask about it and where?
Like I have all these questions and nobody to ask..
Thanks James

This is changes that were made quite sometime ago. It will apply to all new decisions that were made from 17th September 2020. As you said you've only been claiming PIP for about a year then the new law should have already been considered when the decision was made on your claim. Therefore, PIP won't consider taking another look at your claim. See link and scroll to the bottom. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-changes/social-support-changes-to-pip-law-from-6-april-2016
If you disagree with the decision made on your PIP and it was less than 13 months ago you can challenge it and request the Mandatory Reconsideration. If it was longer than this then I'm afraid you're out of time.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Ok I guess I'll wait for my claim to end or close to end, so I can get a re assessment. Thanks for the info
