Suki hates injections, I mean most animals do I imagine but it's the only time Suki is aggressive is an injection. Unless someone is singing to her for some reason. It must distract her enough?They/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with

Opinions are my own, such as mashed potato being bad. -

Hi everyone, I love this thread..
Our cocker spaniel is called Sooty! With five of us in the house, he is called all sorts!
But we mainly call him "Sootmance" "Little One" "Chicky Licky" "Sugar Monkey" and "Ittim Bittim" (I'm a little embarrassed listing them all now!) and if he's been a bit naughty, he's simply called "Sooty" 😂
He's really "My Best Boy" but then all of our pets are the best aren't they? -
poppy123456 said:Oh gosh, my daughter and myself are terrible for this.My cats name is Alfie and we very rarely call it him. He’s known as bow, bowy boy, handsome boy, blue eyed white boy (when we are talking to him)😂
He answers to them all. We say we are just going to call him Alifie but it never happens. Even my grandchildren call him “bow” 😂 -
We had a pair of luv birds when daughter was small and she named them Tilly Tom and Tiny friends would say which one is called what and she would just say both of them silly.
Then we let her name the dog Kipper after the cartoon the looks we got when we were out calling him back, then the rescue dog we got was called Harry when we got him but we always called him the terminator as he destroyed everything and this is what he answered to for 14 year, now we have a canary called heeshe as it was bought as a boy daughter named it joey but joey started laying eggs. When we get a new pet people wait in anticipation to see what they going to be called 🙈🙈🙈 -
One of our family dogs passed a few years ago, but she had some good nicknames. Her name was Puk, which is an odd one to begin with. But she ended up as Pooks, Pukkadoodledoo, Stinks, Smelly, and bizarrely she also had a Russian spy-style nickname - Pookofski Barapookanov (Pookofski for short). I've got no idea where that one came from, but I was a teenager when we got her so probably my strange teenage brain!
Nowadays I don't have my own pet, but we name all our local cats. Highlights of our very creative names include Big Fat Cat (also known as BFC) and Small Big Fat Cat, who looks like Big Fat Cat, but smaller

I don't know if one of my nicknames would pass the filter! But I do sometimes call my dog "the baby" and she gets really offendedHannah - She / Her

Hello @veriterc
I had to remove the link because of our advertising guidelines.
I am glad you have found a care plan for your pets that works for you. It's hard to see so many people have pets and not have the care for them. Especially with so many companies out there.
What pets do you have?Hannah - She / Her

When my daughter got a pair of love birds she couldn't think of a name for them, so I tried to be helpful with some suggestions. Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash etc. In the end she told me in a serious and firm voice that she was not naming them after food. Okay so how about bubble and squeek?
When she found out what I had done it was not clear if she was more annoyed at me or my better half for not saying anything at the time.As an individual I stood alone.
As a member of a group I did things.
As part of a community I helped to create change! -

so ive got Mr Shadow. he came from a shelter and he was called Shadow,i noticed his extremely and hilarious masculine behavior everytime another boy cat came by,so i added on Mr and he plays up to it every day.the rest are cats who visit me: Sir Meowington (as he meows a lot but is a very regal boy so i added sir).....Mr Doof (food spelt backwards) he was a naughty terror, used bonk mr shadow on the head with his paw,he woud eat everything he saw that was food based. i was told by one of my neighbours,he had gone in that day and while she was chatting on the phone,he had jumped up and ran off with a joint of beef in his mouth.one of my support staff managed to find his human, that human was useless, said he had 10 cats in his flat and didnt need any more again, and he agreed to hand him over to my old support staff. she sent me a moon pig card last year with all new photos of him and she told me hes got a new furrend on the fence every day, aparently like a choir gone bad.ive got Bootsie, hes a gorgeous older kitten, has a skin condition but the human isnt keeping up with his flea treatment. my boy Mr Shadow is obsessed with him, sits in his catio waiting for him all day and night. Bootsie has got little white boots, the rest of him is a tuxedo kitty.and ive got BC, he is a naughty boy to some people, but people are looking at him as they woud people. he aparently was dumped in a shelter,he had been badly abused by humans, many woud kick at him to get him to move,so of course he will swipe at the feet of human.i love him to bits.my rabbit is called luna.i got her from the same shelter i got Mr Shadow. she was actualy called Linda....now no offense to anyone on here called Linda but its just not a rabbit name. so i channged it to something very similar.my funniest cat was Fluffybum, as he was a stray black and white longhair with the fluffiest of fluffy butts.ill never forget him
