hello, I was awarded pip in 2021 for 2 years, it was extended because of backlogs until March 2025. I know the form is coming anytime soon.
I just was wondering if the review form was easier to fill out, if the success rates are higher for an award with renewals. My health has deteriorated - physically quite significantly, recently (finally) diagnosed with fibro. Mental health is just as bad as it was in 2015 when everything started.

You can see a sample of the AR1 review form here.https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5bed6efbe5274a083b51fa05/ar1-pip-award-review-how-your-disability-affects-you.pdf
The current stats suggest that 47% of people maintain their award. 18% have award increased, 12% are decreased and 22% are refused. When filling out the form you should treat it as a new claim, even if there's been no changes for some activities. Give as much relevant information as possible and also include a couple of recent real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you.
PIP isn't about a diagnosis, as you maybe aware. Even though your condition has got worse this doesn't mean you'll automatically be entitled to more points for a higher award.
The more relevant information you give, the less chances you have of an assessment.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thankyou poppy, as always. I will fill out the form as detailed as possible, I truly believe the only reason I got it awarded last time was because I had it all recorded. do I need evidence this time? Letters from crisis team? Mental health team, drs etc.

Yes, most definitely send that evidence, evidence from the Mental Health Team and crisis team often goes into a considerable amount of detail.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
