I have to go for a pip assessment capita sent me an appointment for a video assessment. My friend phoned phoned them and asked for a telephone assessment as I'm not able to use the software to do a video assessment. Capita have now sent me another appointment for a video assessment despite being told that I cannot do this. I have been told that I'm only allowed to change my appointment once or they will send my paperwork back to the DWP and my claim will be cancelled. I'm at my wits end and I don't know what to do Please help Asp

You will need to ring Capita and tell them after they sent the first appointment for a video assessment you rang them to ask for a telephone assessment but instead they've sent another appointment for a video assessment.

I don't understand why the first appointment was cancelled anyway because it didn't need to be when changing from a video to phone.

Welcome @jeepster, I hope you're having an okay day today. Welcome to the Scope community :) I hope we can help you with your PIP questions. They don't make it easy do they?

I just want to double check, the friend definitely asked for a over the phone assessment not a video assessment. Just want to make sure there's no possibility of a miscommunication elsewhere. Knowing Capita it's almost certainly their fault but best to check boxes where we can.

I also don't fully understand why there was a need to cancel the appointment, as if you're using video software you can make calls anyway.

I'm also just going to move this over to our PIP category :)
