If your letter is a notice of Migration, you won't lose anything. You are entitled to Transitional Protection for one year

That's not correct. 1 year applies to those migrating from Tax credits that have more than £16,000 in capital. However, if that capital goes below £16,000 and then above it again, entitlement to UC will end.

For anyone else entitled to TP there's no end date and it lasts for as long as it lasts, whether that's 1 month, 6 months or 16 months.

Why does a benefits calculator tell you there's no entitlement? Do you have capital of more than £16,000?

If you're worse off then Transitional protection will be applied but it will depend on the figures of your Tax credits when you migrate accross to UC.

You will not lose carers allowance and you'll still be entitled to this. It will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. As a carer your UC will also include the carers element, providing you report being a carer.

am another managed migration person whose UC has  not covered  Tax credits so there is big reduction in payment. JC say its a mistake but havent corrected it .They advise making Uc claim for the disabled adult and ask for ESA so he/she can attend College as usual. Tax credit eligibility would end this summer anyway  but we will have lost 5 months TC .Any advice welcome. thanks

It would probably be best for you to start your own topic, with full circumstances so others can offer advice.
