thank you for your time ive placed a complaint as its gets worse the primary SENIOR GOVERMENT STAFF did not make the ehcp applucation so when he got to the high which was the follow on from primary the senior staff had told me they felt my needs sons could not be met and exculded him after he wasnt given support and couldnt be in a classroom with 30 other kids due to his learning and sensory so would refuse to go in class which they exculded him, then covid happened and not one phone call or support for my son was given and after nearly 2 twos i received a call that my son had a place at a short stay school were he would be reassesed it took till YEAR10 dec 2022 for him to be awarded a EHCP he was on a 1 half timetable due to struggleing and having to travel by taxi for 40 min each way i wasnt offered a needs assesment or carers assesment and due to my son having anxitey he hasnt attended the school since last easter, ive asked for support and still waiting it was his 12month reveiw in dec and it still hasnt been done his caseworker is not replying to the school and i have demanded i want to speak to the caseworker the school are getting the ehcp funding and im stuggleing paying for actvitys and extra food when he gets free meals have you any advice i have placed a complaint via GOV.COM as my son has NO EDUCATION due to SENIOR TRUSTED GOVEMENT STAFF who even blamed my parenting not being firmer and living on the coucil estaste as a single mum which my relationship ended due to my sons dad beliveing what the TRUSTED goverment teachers had said which he didnt support, or belive me when i told him that our son was struggleing and being ISOLATED and PUNISHED DAILY was CRUEL he belived i was making EXCUSES TRUSTED GOVERMENT TEACHERS dont tell LIES, i couldnt FORGIVE HIM so not only did they ROB MY SONS EDUCATION but they DESTROYED OUR FAMLIY by LIES which i will not stop till the EDUCATION take my COMPLAINT TO TRIBRUAL and the senior teachers take responabity as my son is now YEAR11 and im worried sick about his furture any advise or support i cant sleep and its making me ill0

I am so sorry you and your family are going through this, reading your story and situation feels like you are describing mine and my son's story, failings and ongoing difficulties my son was also failed, neglected and discarded by his primary school especially the SENCO and the class teacher he was bullied and was at the level of a reception child in Yr4 I had multiple meetings and requests for help with the school to which they said they were putting things in place it took my son to have a complete breakdown and be signed off by the doctors and for me to launch a formal complaint for everything to come to light the school still tried to lie but with no paperwork or proof it was proven that the school had failed him and that they had also supplied wrong information and reports to outside agencies ie the paediatric consultant and the educational services I had no choice but to take him out as he was suffering with his mental health and was in full school refusal the only thing that happened to the School and the SENCO was that they were made to issue me an apology which i never got and were required to make sure they were up to date with paperwork and someone would be looking over the paperwork that was it but they had completely ruined my son's character, his education and his mental health we have for the last 5 years been dealing with CAMHS and Therapists and been trying to get assessments and diagnosis so that we can apply for support with his education as he is unable to return to mainstream he is turning 14 this Friday and we are no closer because the fact that he is home educated means that the assessments are difficult to do so we have to wait till they can get around the fact he is home educated and find a solution and all the time we are being pushed from one pillar to the other he is no closer to a diagnosis, no closer to having an answer for why he feels so different and finds things so difficult and no closer to a future path.
And the sad truth that keeps on showing up is that to the school, the senco, the educational services, the team that Is supposed to be supporting and treating him all he is is a number 😢 and all I can do is keep fighting for him and keep doing the best I can for him but in the long run It feels like I'm powerless with a long hard road still ahead. 😭😭0 -
The school system being this sort of experience for so many is why so many parents are now opting for home education. I did it with mine starting in 1999 but even more people do it now. It saves children from all the stress of trying to fit the system and let's them follow their own interests.
Mine are now adults. They have their difficulties still but they kept their curiosity and my middle child now has a masters degree and a good career and youngest is a writer despite never having been to an English lesson in his life!
Home education doesn't require you to be a teacher but rather a facilitator. It doesn't have to be the home schooling that everyone imagines at first.
I was never any good at fighting the system so we side stepped it and they were able to enjoy their childhoods without the stress of being square pegs in round holes.3 -

Firstly thank you so much for your comments It has been a living hell heartbreaking stressful worse years that have caused my son to be ROBBED such big chapters memories are stones every child has that THEY NEED for adult-hood, LA, TRUST TEACHERS are who you TRUST with your children who are RESPONSIBLE and PAYED to EDUCATE your child if i FAILED and NEGLECTED my child id be aUNFIT and NOT ALLOWED or TRUSTED to be around my child, "PUNISHED" not allowed to attend class trips partys anything that my son might of enjoyed they stopped him from, he had SENSORY disabilities that being in a classroom with 30 other children gave him SENSORY OVERLOAD which he would leave the classroom he wasnt smashing the classroom up and hed loose anything they knew he enjoyed0
