1 year wait adp

Hi. 
I renewed my ADP  in may .
I added in extra needs to add on mobility component  as condition deteriorated. 
I have had no contact from adp, but know that they received form when we called and was not being dealt with at that time.
Just received a letter re:april increase. 
In that letter they say about they are in mid review.
Does 10 months seem long. 
Btw I didn't put supporting evidence as left to dr. As so stressful to deal with.

Based on some other threads regarding ADP there are very long delays.
