Any suggestionsdo you know what spec your laptop is? like how much RAM it has, what your processor is, what your graphics card is etc? if you can give a run down of your computer spec, ill try and look for some free games that will run well for you.i know TORCS was one of the only few free, multiformat, open source, comunity led serius 'sim racers' but it never ran on my old linux setup you need a good computer to run it but it runs on linux as well as windows which is a big bonus.ive never instaled it since i got my newest gaming laptop.i was going to say if single player only is fine with you check the steam client out to see what theyre selling project cars 2 for now as i bought it for cheap money last year (there wasnt a sale on at the time) and its still so good, you can run it arcade style or sim style you just have to fiddle with the settings.unfortunatly i checked steam and project cars 2 is no longer buyable on there anymore.some advert free, money free games to look at-titanic: honor and glory. its a game in the working but its completely free with no ads.theyve been saying it was going to come out as a full game for years and it hasnt yet.its not on any gaming platform like steam, its available to download on the developers portfolio website, but if you prefer you can add it to your steam library if you have one. as a titanic nut i loved this as everything about the experience is realistic.the demo is only for exploration and learning though it isnt for showing the tragedy-i think thats what the full game will become though.assault cube. ive played this for many years against bots.it has a multiplayer section though for people who like playing against others. its free and open source and available from its own website and again-you can add it to your steam library. it is a first person shooter i dont know what your opinion is of them, but if you have fairlry quick reactions, have a mouse with a high DPI number and you are very quick with the W/A/S/D keys you will cruise threw it.0 -
Hey @Queen_K ! A gaming discussion, I like it! Just to let you know, I've moved the discussion into the coffee lounge, as the gaming lounge tends to be for games, not about games.
Have you signed up to Steam? There's a free games category on there which I often take advantage of.
Also Epic games give away different games each week for free. Well worth checking the app out.1 -
The steam platform has a largeish free collection of games. Althogh some games might require an internet connection to start the game up.1
