You will need to make sure you claim your state pension. You will be known as a mixed aged couple so your claim for UC will continue as a joint claim with your wife.
Your state pension will be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. This means your overall entitlement between state pension and UC will remain the same.
Once you reach state pension age you also need to make sure you report the changes to UC because they don't always get this correct and if you're overpaid it will need to be repaid back.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
