I got a letter on my journal and it says I’ve been accepted for lcwra but it doesn’t say if I’ll get extra money or not it just says ‘you might get extra money’ 😕 I am single and live alone, does anyone know ?also on my journal it’s asking me if I need an extra bedroom for my disability,my mum stays over once or twice a week but not always when my mood deteriorates,is it worth me telling them about that to see if I can get my rent paid in full? ATM I have to put my own money towards my rent ,I appreciate any help in advance 🙂

For the LCWRA element, when it’s paid from exactly will depend on what date exactly you provided your first fit note. What date you usually receive your money each month.
You can claim for an extra bedroom if you receive either daily living PIP, DLA mid/high rate care or ADP daily living and you need regular overnight care. Whether once or twice a week is enough for regular overnight care I don’t know. It will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision.1 -
Thanks for your reply 😊 if I was to claim the second bedroom tax is there any chance they can end my lcwra claim if the second bedroom allowance gets rejected? I really don’t want to risk losing my lcwra 😬0

2nd bedroom tax? you mean an extra bedroom for a carer. No, this will not affect the LCWRA element.1

It doesn't affect the LCWRA element because they are both completely different. An extra bedroom for a carer can be claimed if you're claiming PIP/ADP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care. It's got nothing to do with LCWRA.1
