Good morning, I received a text this morning that I have been awarded pip after a long wait and tribunal. How long does it normally take for back payments etc?

If this was a text from DWP then it means your award has been put into payment. Money owed will be paid into your bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent.0

Oh that’s amazing! Went to tribunal 28th February.Won my appeal and backdated to February 2022.It’s been so hard and at times I’ve felt so dark, but knew I deserved it so carried on (just) it’s stressful but don’t give up. The payment has been quickest part then.0

Not going to lie I was so anxious and nervous. Was crying before I walked in. They made me feel ok and i calmed down and had a couple of questions from each person, judge, doc, and disability specialist dwp didn’t turn up. They said they would discuss it and call me back In I was In a state so daughter went in and they had told her that I had won the appeal and granted for 5 years so was overwhelmed with this. Finally got heard correctly!
so yes don’t give up outcome is one of two ways that’s how I had to think of it in the end. 😊0 -
Also didn’t recive the notes from dwp they send about decision, they weren’t going to hear the case first of all but they decided they would. That’s what got me In a state.0
