I have a collection of Nokia Mobile phones - all in good working condition still
I started with an original 9000 - communicator - that cost £1000 in 1996
This was updated to a Nokia 9210 in 2000
A Nokia 9300 replaced this
Finally a Nokia E90
All these phones were predecessors of modern "smart phones" with email and web browsing using two separate screens and a QWERTY keyboard.
They were all supplied by my employer as an aid to help me communicate - I was allowed to keep them all...
The first 9000 was able to connect to the internet at 30kbps - which is around 1/1000 th of the speed of a modern phone !
I remember when sending a txt cost 10p and data charges were hurrendous

I remember when texts cost way more than 10p, and you only got something like 140 letters, so there was a proper reason to use text language (other than laziness and illiteracy) as it would save you money!!!
I collect a few things but I don't have huge collections for various reasons
I collect watches - but often have to sell one to free up funds for the next one
And I collect whisky and cognac - but I do drink these, they don't just sit there - so the collection is always changing. Here is my current collection, though...

Egg cups as a kid, still have them, in a box. Then onto little precious stone elephants, in a box somewhere. Lighters, in a box somewhere. There's a theme!! Broken with Swatch watches, in a collectors bag & not in a box somewhere. Sake (rice wine) sets & then, finally, Gallé glass & they're in a cabinet. Oh & 70+ paperweights!!I don't collect mobile phones, but still have every one I've had.1

Oh how I wish I didnt get rid of all my ancient Nokia phones!
I collect Pin badges, I wont post pics as some of them contain swear words.
and of course, I collect Warhammer 40k miniatures.1 -
I have started collecting fridge magnets of places…again, but they have to be funny or interesting 🙂2
-
I have fridge magnets too @Zimba!
I collect vintage dresses and clothes. I don't have a huge collection but a few bits and pieces, mostly 1940s-1970s. I've got a strange love for obnoxiously garish 1970s disco dresses, but I never wear them1 -
@Rosie_Scope I love vintage shops there can be some great finds if your lucky, there use to be a good one in Leeds, not sure if its there anymore??1
-
@Zimba I've not been to Leeds but I'll have to make a trip some day if it's still there! I've scored some great bargains in charity shops and second hand websites1

I'm trying to be more minimalist, but I'd say I have an average collection of CD's, and probably a large collection of kites which I do not fly often enough.. I need kiting buddies. and preferable some with a car!I used to have an old Sony Erricson gold Test Phone that my brother gave me. I wish I'd kept it now as a keepsake/memory.2

Vinyl records, also old carpentry tools to refurbish. A bit of a sad one of collecting Adidas Sambas and Gazelles in every colour ... and still have less shoes than my wife.
@Albus_Scope ... my daughters boyfriend is into collecting/ painting War Hammer figurines ... he's bought a 3D printer to make accessories.2 -
Oh I do love the old school Samas @WelshBlue lovely trainers!
I'd love a 3D printer, but alas I don't have the space for one. Maybe one day.1 -
I forgot, now reminded, pin badges & fridge magnets too!

I saw my GP last week and he had the most hideous trainers on ... with a big plastic tag on them. I asked him if he'd stolen them ... his reply ... I wish I had, they cost me £400
Safe to say a few expletives came out of my mouth. I was so shocked I asked him for some diazepam.
To which he replied, make do with the Melatonin I've just given you
Nice when you have a rapport with a Doc'2 -
Haha, sounds like you've got a great GP there! It really can make all the difference.
£400 for some trainers is a bit rich for my liking, I'll stick to my faithful DCs.2 -
i collect physical media, blurays 4ks etc and have quite the collection, i also collect star wars memorabilia, figures etc, and have a room for my collection, great to see others collecting stuff, each collection is different, well done gang!2

I've begun collecting flags. I love flags, from a design/art perspective. They're often so simple but convey very distinct meanings.
So far I've only got a US flag (from my to be in-laws), a Puerto Rico flag (I got it at the Puerto Rico parade in New York), an EU flag, a Swiss flag (I got it on holiday ).
I also have old maps of places I've lived in the past. For instance I have a map of Lanarkshire and Glasgow's surroundings from 1789. I have a map of the county I grew up in from 1836. I frame them and hang them up around my office area. I think I might get flags of places I've lived to match too maybe, though I'm not a fan of Glasgow's flag so perhaps just a Scottish flag for Glasgow?2 -
I also collect/make Lego vehiclesI am currently doing a Ford GT but in the last 12 months, have completed a world globe, a Ferrari 488, a Landrover Defender and a motorbike !2

Signed football memorabilia.
Also, just recently purchased a vintage 1991 Leonardo Owl Figurine Hand Painted.
Looks great. £5 from a buy and sell store online.1 -
Just thought, many years ago, I collected F1 memorabilia, still have all that.
