I called yesterday and lady said on phone that a letter was sent out on 22nd of march but couldn't tell me decision. I haven't received a text so think its a no decision but find it weird why she couldn't tell me as people on here have called and talked about decisions.

But It does seem to vary on who you speak too when you phone PIP as I managed to speak to someone and they told me my decision when my PIP was up for renew.I did however get a text when my decision was made and it said on the text not to phone PIP as they can't give the decision over the phone and wait for the letter to come.0

Thanks for reply. Do they send a text out if your claim unsuccessful or only for successful claims?

It varies, they text for both, or sometimes I have seen that they don't text at all and people still be awarded. Theres no knowing for certain till you get your letter or are told your award.

Ok thanks ill wait till letter comes out or have another crack at a call on Tuesday.

They do not send texts if there’s a refusal. They sometimes, not always send a text if there’s an award, if it’s a first time claim.
For reviews they do not send texts with decisions at all. They sometimes send a text saying your review is complete and to expect a letter in the next 2 weeks.0 -
Its a first time claim so presume it unsuccessful wish i found here before did claim.

Once you know what the decision is if you're not happy you can challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. You can always post back here for further advice and I'm sure someone will advise you.0

Yeah when you get the letter i asked for copy of report of assessment on the 13th still waiting and who knows how long for this letter and only have 30 days to apply for MR but thank you for advice and yes I will post on here and keep you updated.

It's not 30 days. You actually have 13 months in total to request it. If you're outside of the 1 month timescale you must give a reason why you didn't request it within that time. If they refuse you just proceed to Tribunal.
One thing I do advise is that you put the request in writing, please do not ring them to request it.0 -
Thank you and yes ill make sure I do that. Can you send me any information on MR please so i can find it quick in this thread if I need it please.
