Hi.. I receive income related ESA and the standard daily living and mobility parts of PIP.  would i be able to claim for a disability premium if I live with another adult (my mum) who has now started to receive the enhanced rate of the daily living and mobility parts of PIP ?  My name isn't on the tenancy agreement,  does it matter if I give her money towards the rent or not ?

As she’s also claiming daily living PIP she doesn’t need to be on the tenancy agreement.

If you are the only 2 adults living in the house and no one is claiming either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after you then you will be entitled to the Severe Disability Premium. To claim this you will need to ring ESA and apply. They will be able to fill out the form on the phone.

My mum's name is on the tenancy agreement but mine isn't..  I do give my mum money towards the rent, would this affect me being able to claim a disability premium?

No it will not because you're both claiming a qualifying disability benefit. Before I moved house recently my daughter and myself lived together, my name was on the tenancy agreement and hers wasn't.

We both claim daily living PIP and I claim Income Related ESA. No other adults live with us, which means I'm entitled to the Severe disability Premium, which is £76.40/week. See link. severe-disability-premium We still live together and our new tenancy in the new house has both names on it and I'm still entitled to the SDP because no other adults live with us and no one is claiming either carers allowance or carers element for looking after me.
