The assessor should not have said anything to you because it's not their job to do that. Only a decision maker from DWP can make decisions. The assessor will write the report and return it to DWP from there a decision can take up to about 12 weeks.
If found to have LCWRA there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time for the extra money. It's then paid from the 4th month after you first reported your health condition/provided your first fit note. First payment will then be at the end of that month. It's not paid at all during the waiting period. First payment will be either April or May.
The exact date will depend on what date exactly you provided your first fit note and what date you usually receive your money each month.
LCWRA is part of Universal Credit and the extra money will be included with your usual monthly payment.
If found to have LCW there's no extra money each month.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Heya @LizzieDoh87 and welcome to the community.
As Poppy has said, the assessor really shouldn't have said anything, as it's not their job to award you LCWRA. It can be a bit of a wait to get the results, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for a positive outcome.
Will you let us know how you get on?Albus (he/him)
