Holidays for disabled travellers

Hello, I'm desperate to get away for a holiday. I used to travel a lot and was proud of my independent, adventurous spirit. Now my health has deteriorated I still have the travel bug.

Can anyone recommend a holiday company that caters for disabled people.

I want to travel to somewhere sunny with a company that understands the needs of disabled travellers. But I'm a bit nervous about it. Any advice you can give will help to ease my fears. Thanks🙂

What kind of holidays do you like @nannymaroon? Are you more a sunbather or do you like going out and sightseeing?

I know there are a few companies that do tours specifically for disabled travellers, but I've not used one of these myself so I couldn't personally recommend any particular company. Hopefully some of our members can be more useful than me!

Have you got any ideas about where you'd like to travel to, or are you just hoping for anywhere warm and sunny?

If money wasn't an issue I d love to have a beach holiday in the Caribbean or a caribbean cruise. But since I'm not a lottery winner I'd settle for a Mediterranean beach holiday, as long as I can get some much needed sun.🌞

Where did you end up going? If you're into beach holidays, I'd recommend going to Spain. I was there last March. However, beaches are a bit overcrowded, in my opinion. If you are not bothered by that, you can consider going there. As for the companies that do tours, I am not sure about catering especially for disabled people, but I have used[link removed by moderator] for my trip. They were quite good, and helpful, and customised the tour according to your needs. You can contact them if you want.
