Good afternoon,
Not posted in a while, quick question partner is on LWCRA and lower daily PIP
Sometimes my partner wakes up in the middle of the night and goes to our spare bedroom to sleep so not to wake me, we pay £66 bedroom tax for having a spare bedroom, i dont know if i dreamt it or not, that if my partner sleeps in the spare bedroom we dont have to pay the bedroom tax? it might only be once or twice a month, is there a number of nights you have to sleep in the spare bedroom ?
Thank you in advance
Sean

It will depend on the reasons why you’re unable to share a room. Not sure if it’s possible when it’s only once or twice a month. See link https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/benefits/how_many_bedrooms_you_can_claim_benefits_for
No harm is asking on your journal but they may ask the reasons why.0 -
