National Pet Month. Week Two - Cat week!
National Pet Month. Week Two – Cat week!
We’re now into the second week of Pet Month! I’m sure we can agree it’s of the best national months. We’re continuing our praise of our lovely, adorable companions.
Last week you saw wonderful pictures of our lovable canine family members.
This week of course is about our adorable feline family members.
Here’s our teams cat-shaped coworkers!
Here we have Mitzy who lodges with @Albus_Scope! I’ve been informed she’s a bit of a diva, but I think with those eyes she definitely has the right to be one. Her favourite activities are demanding food, watching the pigeons on the patio and sleeping, as fitting for an older gal with a bit of arthritis.
This is my little baby, Suki. She came into our lives May last year and has brought us so much happiness. She’s a demanding, but very picky, eater. Will only eat dry food, but definitely wants a go at the birds outside. She’s also saved my partner from many spiders! She used to be a stray and it took her several months to discover human laps are very comfy, warm and make you very accessible to pets.
Yes, it was very hard to not keep picking more photos of her.
We never say no to seeing more cats, please do share your cat!
Even if you don’t have a cat, do you have an adorable cat picture you’d love to share with us? Gonna be frank here it doesn’t even have to be a picture you’ve taken I just love seeing cats.
Remember, the internet is full of cats!

My beautiful rescue cat Skye.
I adopted her when she was six years old and she passed away age seventeen. 💕

Oh she was a sweetie @luvpink , she looked very much like my Mitzy, but hopefully not as aloof!2

Sorry to see this isn't getting the attention last week's dog thread got!!!
I have to admit I think I am more of a dog person, but I like cats. I find them calming and relaxing and quite chilled out creatures
When I am a bit anxious or overthinking or something, having a dog dropping toys by your feet and barking and whining and trying to get you to play is perhaps not the most calming thing, a cat I think would be a lot more laid back and relaxing

I think many people are just trying to find their cats to take photos. That can sometimes take a few days.3

Some lovely kitties so far! This is not my cat, but we have lots of cats near us that visit our garden. Last summer I left my bedroom window open and this one invited themselves in from the roof. Their name is Scully. After a look around my bedroom and a quick pee on my carpet, they decided it wasn't interesting enough to stick around and sauntered off across the rooftops.
Some of our local visitors like to use my veg patch as their own personal toilet, but Scully tells me this cat repellent isn't up to scratch

Lovely kitties @Ada! It's always nice to have visiting cats around. How does Betty feel about cats? Does she bark at them or is she friendly?

Well here comes the cat spam! Here we see Mitzy's brother Deez, who is sadly no longer with us.
He was a very placid tank of a GIANT cat and would sit out in the rain and yowl until someone went outside to tell him he could come in. He wasn't great at jumping, so he'd just haul himself up walls with his big old paws.
This was his favourite log, which is now part of our bog garden, next to the pond I dug and scattered his ashes under.8 -
Bonus toe beans picture.

These are Piglet and Pooh, brother and sister we brought back with us when we came back to the U.K. after living in BG for ten years. their mother had been killed by dogs and luckily they were found by a local woman who took them to the vet and we got a call asking if we’d like them! They were so tiny-needing hourly feeds and not great health wise but a very happy ending for them! The cats are almost 9 now, the black one is Piglet & his sister is Pooh-both very aptly named! The 3 of them still cuddle up❤️❤️❤️7

My 2! The one on the left is HRH Bailey III, Princess of Dubai aka Sally and she's 3 years old. I adopter her from Dubai when she was 4 months old. I call her BB when she's a good girl otherwise she gets the full title . On the right we have Chicca - short for Francesca - aka as Precious and she's 12 years old. I rescued her at 5 months old when her owner wanted to get rid of her - her loss!2

This is Ruby T Cat Slayer of Mice, she’s a rescue cat, she rescued me at a time when I really needed someone to step up for me. She picked me out at the rescue shelter, made it plain I was her new person. She is extremely protective of me, as anyone who has met me when she’s around will testify, one young social worker was so intimidated by the glare she received she left the house. With me she adores cuddles, hogs the bed, snores, and tells me when it’s bedtime,
