Thanks for sharing, it is helpful that folks share this as it can help others look at the process.

Got to say, I think yours was pretty fast when you hear some of the horror stories on here ( unless you applied Jan 2023 lol). There really seems to be no rhyme or reason for such disparities between different people putting in applications and the length of time they have had to wait compared to others who seem to sail through the process.

But great news and you will get some backdated money too from when you applied.

    Take it easy

Congrats @DAZZWER2000 I hope you are happy with the award, if not you can MR.
And that’s when the problems and delays really start

True. I was excited as well the first time I was awarded (quickly like this case too), then when money hit my account (and the letter followed) realised it was lower mobility, and it would really not give me the support I so desperately needed. Well, the long process began and yeah, it was a bit of a mess for a while...
Hi, I am pretty sure that lots of people have been in the situation you describe, but after the sheer relief of being given an award think the decision was wrong or not what they expected.

unfortunately, I am also pretty sure that there will be people who have been given what they consider a wrong award but won’t challenge it as they just don’t have the fight in them to do so.
