Claim uc day before tc due

Hi, 

We have a managed migration notice for 3rd May. We are due tax credits on 3rd May. I will be making the claim on 2nd May due our circumstances. Will I still receive the payment on 3rd May?

    Yes very likely because it’s a BACS payment which is usually made a few days before payment is due.

    Perfect thank you. 
    Do you know if tax credits are paid in advance or in arrears? We get paid 4 weekly.

    Usually they are paid in arrears. Your tax credits will end the day before you claim UC. Once you claim UC you will then receive your final tax credits award notice at some point in the future.
