We've had dogs, we've had cats, now it's time for birds!
While we'd love to introduce you to the pet birds from our team, we're sadly lacking in actual pets. But what we do have is some cracking garden bird friends.
Here's one of @Albus_Scope's pigeon friends lovingly named Scarface

This below is the beautiful Bronson

And here's Albus hand-feeding one of his flock

And from me down here in sunny London, we get some lovely parakeets in the garden. There's all kinds of rumours about how they ended up here, ranging from them being set free by Jimi Hendrix to being runaways from the set of the 1964 film Zulu. The truth is probably a lot more boring than the rumours though! Here's a few of them chowing down on my neighbour's bird feeders. Noisy little fellas!

Has anyone got any feathered friends living with them? Or any garden visitors you'd like to share? Would love to see some pictures!

I'm so jealous of your noisy Hendrix parakeet visitors @Rosie_Scope fancy swapping them for some equally noisy starlings?
I'll try and organise some bird photoshoots, so I can show off my other garden pals.2 -
Oh those are beautiful @Ada great shots! I forgot how huge herons actually are up close!1

Thought I'd add some more garden friends! So we have a bit of a pigeon fanclub now. My sister is slowly trying to name them all.
And below is my friend 'Creepy Dave' who is a friendly jackdaw. We have about seven that visit, but Dave is slowly becoming a lot friendlier with me.
And here we see my favourite gardening helper, the majestic Shouty Ron. He was a tiny fledgling last year, who was VERY noisy, but has since grown up and continued to visit. We know it's Ron as his legs are much longer than the other robins that visit.
I'm still trying to get decent photos of the local pair of blue jays, but they're very timid birds.2 -
I love our flock of visitors. Humans domesticated them in the first place, then kicked them out to fend for themselves when we invented other means of communication. So I make sure I'm always nice to pigeons.1

Lovely pictures @Ada, thanks for sharing. Some gorgeous shots there!
And of course, we all love Creepy Dave, Shouty Ron @Albus_Scope's fine feathered gang!
I'm a pigeon fan too. I've rescued a couple of poorly baby pigeons in the past, but I sent them off to be cared for by someone who knows what they're doing. I'm not sure I'd be qualified to do it myself! I don't understand the pigeon hate at all, they're really sweet and funny birds.1
