Issues with carers allowance

Hi I attempted to close a carers allowance claim in January for a relative as I became unable to care due to my own disability. 

They suspended the claim a few weeks later but since then no progress it’s still suspended and affecting other benefits. I am calling several times a week and all I get told is a manager will call within 48 hours I’ve been waiting since feb! I’ve made complaints ect but I’m still not getting anywhere does anyone have any advice please?

Hey @lllg, I'm sorry your query wasn't answered at the time. I just wanted to check with how you are getting on with the carers allowance issue?

Did you complaints get anywhere at all? It does seem odd that they would just sit on it with is suspended. If it somehow still isn't resolved have you considered contacting your MP to see if they can raise concerns with the DWP?
