Hi,
I’d be grateful for anyone who can help me please.
I have been on limited capability for work for over a year now. I have been signed off from may 2023 via fit notes due to my mental health disability. In November the job centre decided I needed another health assessment. I returned the form in December and have not heard a word back.
I rang the people who do the assessments a month ago and they said they could not tell me how long I have to wait and that my case is still being assessed.
I think last time I waited 3 months for everything to be completed. I’ve waited 5 so far this time. Is this normal? It’s getting quite stressful.
Many thanks

At the moment this is normal. Waiting times for reviews are usually longer than first time claims.1

Thank you. Can you give any indication on how long the wait is roughly please?0

Unfortunately no one on the forum will be able to answer that. Workloads will vary for the individual staff processing claims, appointment availability for the assessment will be another factor.Tomwise said:Thank you. Can you give any indication on how long the wait is roughly please?1 -
