We missed Record Store Day the other day, but it got me thinking, can you remember what the first piece of music you bought was?
And was it on tape/CD/MP3/vinyl/8 track/wax cylinder?
The first 12" I bought was Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus (1984)
The first 7" I bought was Sly Fox - Let's Go All The Way (1985)
So what was yours? Let us know.

I didn't buy a lot of music early on because when I was growing up it was pre-iTunes but post-internet so (illegally) pirating music was "in"
I think the first CD I purchased was probably something classical like The Planets (Holst)

I can't remember which of these two I bought first, but they're equally high brow classics. It was Aqua - Aquarium or Spice Girls.
Both on cassette tape, but I went on to buy the exact same Spice Girls album on CD too

Very hard to remember..
Maybe The Beachboys Greatest Hits ,or something played on a Moog Syntheser (very highvtech in 1975,hehe.). -

Though the first tape I remember buying myself, and even the store & till I bought it from, was Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate.
