Last month I ended up in hospital and while in hospital I had 7 seizures and I went into a coma for a week I was also told that my heart stopped twice I was suppose to have a health and disability assessment over the phone but missed it once I woke up out of the coma my son brought my mobile to the hospital. That's when I realised I had missed the phone appointment I went on the UC journal and explained why I missed it and sent copies of my hospital discharge papers the DWP have excepted the reason for missing it and I've now got a appointment on the 2nd may after what I've been thru.the court ruled in my favour last time as a few years ago the disks in my spine collapsed and I could barely even walk even now I still struggle to walk, bend carry anything and it's all starting again I was told it could take months maybe even well over a year to get back to normal before I was rushed to hospital the only way I feel safe walking now instead of my stick I've to use a Zimmer frame what the hospital gave me when I was released does anybody know if they would still class me as unfit for work and incapable for work as my health is far more worse.

Hi @markcumbria I'm so sorry to hear you've really been put through the ringer. Unfortunately no one can say what the DWP will say, but from my point of view, you'd be unfit for work. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you on the 2nd. Will you be able to keep us updated please?
Just to let you know I've moved your post to the benefits section, so more people in the know will be able to see it and offer some support. I hope that's OK?0 -
