Moving in with partner, do I need to tell PIP?

I am in receipt of PIP, I live in Essex but want to move in with my partner who lives in Cambridge. Do i send the pip a letter with a change of address, will my claim be ok or will it end. I’m currently awaiting an award review.

PIP is not means tested so won't be affected by moving in with a partner. Best way to change address is to ring them because they don't always action letters like this.
Are you or your partner claiming any other benefits? if so which ones?0 -
Thanks for replying Poppy no we aren’t in receipt of any other benefits.I will give them a call after the bank holiday , i was going to send a letter special delivery as I hate talking over the phone so wasn’t aware they wouldn’t maybe accept it in writing0

Hi @eddy92, welcome to our community
I can't answer much better than Poppy has! Good luck with your review and let us know if you have any other questions about PIP
I'll also move this over to our PIP category incase you do have more questions.0 -
Can I just ask, I will probably move in with my partner later next year we are both on pip and at that that time both on state pension so will not be receiving any benefits. I know I would need to inform pip I have moved but does my partner also need to tell them. I believe she won't because she isn't moving and her circumstances haven't changed except of course that I have moved in, but she is concerned that she would be in trouble if she doesn't. I would appreciate any advice on this matter thanks.

You are correct. Your partner does not need to inform PIP if you move in with them.

Thanks for your advice, I think she will probably tell them although I just wanted to reassure her.

It's not a change of circumstances that needs to be reported if there's no change of address. You have to be very careful about reporting such changes because they could actually send out another review form.
As you are both claiming state pension it would definitely be worth using a benefits calculator to check entitlement to Pension Credit.
