im new here, I suffer with anxiety, depression I have done all my life, have got a stoma and recently diagnosed with dismotility of the oesophagus. My everyday living is poor (eating) suffering with problems also from having a stoma and that does come with problems that affect day to day living.

Hey there @lindalooking, welcome to the Scope online community :) I certainly struggle with anxiety and depression, and while I don't have a stoma I do have Crohn's disease. I got very close to needing a stoma at one point, but thankfully some new medication helped it get back under control.

How does your dismotility affect you if you don't  mind me asking? I understand the most common symptom is issues with swallowing food, but I know there can be other affects.

When I had an issue with my stomach I was able to get these protein drinks that had a lot of my daily requirements. The doctor even prescribed them to me for a bit, I will try to remember them if you haven't heard of them  already!

I'm sorry to hear that, I can understand how that makes it all the more distressing. Have you received any form of support or aftercare from the health team who diagnosed you?
