Hi all, so I recently started to receive CDP for my son, I have put onto my UC journal umpteen times now and updated the circumstances but no one has got back as to wether I need to do anything else or if I will receive extra money etc I received his award on 26th January, can someone help please.

If his award includes high rate care then you'll be entitled to the higher disabled child element. If it's any other award then you'll be entitled to the lower disabled child element.
You can also claim carers element for looking after him if his award is either mid/high rate care, unless you're claiming the LCWRA element for yourself because both elements can't be paid to the same person.
If the disabled child element isn't included in your claim then put a message onto your journal under the payment section. This way a case manager should see it.1 -
So I get middle rate care component no sure if that is any good?0

That will mean the lower disabled child element which is now £156.11/month. Before the increase it was £146.31/month. It will be paid from the assessment period in which his CDP was awarded from.0
