Hello everyone, I ve received this message from the DWP:
The LCWRA element awarded to you will take affect 3 full assessment periods after you had provided your fit note as per the decision makers notes. This will fall into your 08/04/2024 - 07/05/2024 assessment period. What does it mean? I've been receiving UC since January 2024. Can someone kindly let me know what this means? Will I get paid more over what I am receiving atm?

It means your maximum UC entitlement will increase by £416.19/month and you will see that in your payment on 14th May.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you very much for your reply. This means that I will get that amount on top of what I've been receiving which is 103£?
-
Why have you only been receiving £103/month? Is there any deductions for anything? Are you working or living with a partner that works? or deductions for something else?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

There is a deduction of 250£ because I declared that I'm receiving a pension from the country I'm from. I do live with a partner but we are not financially involved. Just the opposite. So I would need to understand if this amount will be added on top of this 103 £ or which calculation should I take? Thanks sincerely from your professional and prompt response., honestly.
-
Thanks, that makes sense because the pension is deducted in full. Yes, the £416.19 will be on top of the £103. Make sure you check your next UC statement to see if the LCWRA element is included because they don't always get the waiting period correct.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Thank you. I misunderstood, my apologies.

Hi Vanesa, Apologies I had made an error in determining your LCWRA element. I have taken a look at your claim in regard to the extra premium for having Limited capability for work and work related activity (LCWRA) and can advise of the following: The decision to award LCWRA was made on 25/01/2024 this falls into the Universal credit assessment period 08/01/2024 – 07/02/2024 (this assessment period is disregarded). Everyone who is found to have LCWRA must serve 3 assessment periods before the extra premium is paid (this is called the waiting period) In your case the 3 assessments periods would be. 08/02/2024 – 07/03/2024 08/03/2024 – 07/04/2024 08/04/2024 – 07/05/2024 This means that from the statement 08/05/2024 – 07/06/2024 you will start to see the additional premium being paid (next month’s statement). I hope this helps to explain how the system works. Kind regards UC team. Can someone explain better what's the meaning of this. Will I get paid and when?

What date exactly did you provide your first fit note? I can’t advise without knowing that information.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. 25/01/2024.
17/02/2024.
The last one 09/03/2024.
Thank you Poppy! -
Thanks. Then what you’ve been told in that message is correct. Your waiting period is Feb to May… LCWRA starts from assessment period 8th May to 7th June and first payment is 14th June. No LCWRA element is owed.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Perfect. Thank you very much for your reply honestly.
