On new style esa - moved to support group - awarded LCWRA - don’t get uc payments as partners earnings to high due to slight pay rise had note stating uc payments will stop as zero uc for so many months and uc claim will stop and I may have to reapply for uc ? Does my esa (2023 claim) end in oct 2024 this year also or continue as in support group ? I don’t understand - should I close uc credit account as I don’t get any payments it’s always zero (partners income and my esa wipes out uc) is esa ending in 2025 and migrating to uc ( if so then I should keep uc account open) ?Or can I just continue with esa claim support group alone ? I’m so confused any help gladly appreciated .

Hey @indigoflower and welcome to the community.
I understand the confusion, US and ESA are tricky ones for me too. Unfortunately I don't have the answers for you, but I'm sure one of our super knowledgeable regulars will be a long soon to help.
I'm just moving your discussion over to the UC category so more people in the know will be able to see it. I hope that's ok?0 -
Hello 👋 Yes please if anyone could explain better - thank you albus1

New style ESA Support Group continues for as long as you remain entitled to it. It's not time limited for 1 year.1

Thank you poppy - should I close uc claim as I no longer get payments ? 0r just wait until they close it after 6months ? Or keep it open until it esa migrates to uc ?0

New style ESA is not part of UC, that's why you're claiming it now. You will not migrate to UC from that. It's up to you what you do with your UC. It will automatically close after 6 months of zero entitlement anyway.0
