So my mate, alongside being stuck in his room apart from on the
occasion he can get to synagogue, is also dealing with a family member
as his main carer who's financially indecisive.
Now
she's saying she wants a dog, and its going to cost a fortune (vet
bills, insurance etc) and he can't take her indecisiveness. To be fair
she's stuck in the house all day, but my mate just wants to get out her
hair so they can both live their lives separate, he's sick of the
arguments.

Heya @wandering_chris I hope you're doing ok today?
That's a tricky one to be honest. They're two individuals with their own wants and needs. I understand the want for a little fuzzy companion, they have helped me massively with my on mental health issues. So they can have a very positive effect on someone's life. But I also understand your friends trepidation over all of this as they are a big commitment. Could your friend sit down and go through everything that would be needed to keep a dog? Seeing things written down may add some clarity for your friend and their carer?0
