Sick Note Reforms
I'm worried about the new sick note reforms being planned for this October so Mel Stride says, the DWP m.p.
who will these changes affect, is it just new claimants wanting a sick note or is he also targeting those who have already being told they are too sick to work? What about those who have had a W.C.A and are currently on L.C.W.R.A , are they to be told get back to work too even though like myself can't get access to NHS services that I need?

One of the intentions is that they will, very graciously, provide better access to the mental healthcare that we should be getting anyway instead of giving as much in cash payments
Don't worry though as it's just a plan - when the opportunity to execute their plan arises, they will probably about as much authority to implement those plans as I have to impose my own personal plans on the country

When he was also asked about a lady who had been waiting 18 months for a hip replacement his reply was to just get her a chair to sit on so she could then work. When asked about how certain people would cope using stairs etc he suggested not climbing them. His comments are offensive, ridiculous, and borderline illegal. I'm fed up with this governments bullying comments day in day out towards disabled and vulnerable people, making threats to force us into work that we're unable to do. How are they possibly going to push through these changes in October and get the right help inplace for then? I think they are living on another planet and need help themselves, maybe from one of their madcap scemes they keep coming up with!!0

The best thing you can do is fill in their consultation about it, they purposely make it very lengthy and worded poorly but it's so important that as many people as possible fill it in0
