That's a good way to choose your winner @Luchia, it's good to put the focus on the song and the artist which is what it's supposed to be all about0
-
@Luchia that's kind of my point that I think your voting system should be adopted by others
I am working off second hand info here so sorry if I'm saying something wrong but I heard the winner this year was a person who identified their gender as non-binary?? As someone who is non-binary or doesn't like to identify with a gender myself (but not strict and doesn't care if people use male pronouns) I liked that as it helps promote what you say about inclusivity and stuff!!!

@66Mustang, there were two non-binary people who entered this year as far as I know. Ireland and Switzerland. Switzerland's act Nemo won and Ireland's act Bambie Thug did pretty well as well1

I found the stage performance from Switzerland mesmerising to watch! Some were definitely more entertaining than others but I really enjoyed the song from Armenia.
And as for the core body strength of the lady in the alien looking chair 'Loreen' 😮 well I was totally impressed! I struggle to get up off the settee 🤣🤣
We had a fun night here in our house with plenty of party snacks!

Sounds like you had a great night @onedayatatime! I watched a video that ruined some of the magic of Switzerland on their big twirly round thing. Apparently there were people dressed in black pushing it around so it moved at the right points, all hidden from the cameras. I did wonder how they did it!
And absolutely, Loreen clearly has abs of steel!0 -
I had no idea @Rosie_Scope ! How clever! I thought it was on some sort of timer or involved some sort of special velcro shoe attachment 🤣 It certainly added drama to the performance 👍0

I'm super happy that Nemo one and Bambi Thug did so well too! I'm a bit miffed to hear Nemo had people moving the disc for them though.0

Luchia said:Rosie_Scope said:It's safe to say that there are some ongoing political factors affecting this year's contest, so it's understandable that some people might not want to watch this year. It wouldn't be the first time that political issues have affected the contest and it's totally up to the individual whether they choose to watch or not. Would also just like to add for clarity that I am neutral on this issue and that my choice to watch is not an endorsement or denial of anything in particular.
@ice24, That's so interesting that you know someone from Scooch! Camp definitely does well with the voters!
@birdwatcher, They were joking about Finland missing out at the semi-finals. The presenter said "We are back in Sweden and I know, don't blame me, even I voted for Finland" I think it was Lithuania with Discoteque, it was a good one! I enjoyed Switzerland and Ukraine in the year that Maneskin won (2021), I feel like that was a pretty good year all round.
1) Talent of the Singer
2) Quality of the song
For me Eden(Israel) really outshines all the others this year, There’s a lot of talented singers but I found her song very emotional and beautiful.
Her voice is absolutely amazing so that’s who will be getting my vote.
I don’t take into account anything political or news related when I vote.
I just hope all the singers who made it into the finals are so proud of themselves at how far they have made it and they should all feel a great sense of accomplishment and pride.1
