Sadly a lot of doctors don't seem* to care about even stuff that is quite severe at the moment
I don't like to sound like I'm trying to impersonate a medical person or anything ... I have zero medical training ... but is it causing you any pain or discomfort or anything?? If it's bad enough could you phone 111 or go to A+E?
*I do think they want to care but their hands are tied by management and the state of stuff at the moment

Do you have a non-emergency walk in centre anywhere nearby @ella1992?
How long has the ankle been swollen for?0 -
Not on any medication other than my depression tablets and it's only my left one I did see doctor and because I was lacking vitamin d they put it down to that how ever my vitamin d levels are back to normal and still having same issue0

Just curious if you have any pain with your foot? Any change in sensation in your foot or ankle? Any instability in your ankle?
Have you had any injury to it recently?
Have you seen your GP in person or over the phone appointments?
I'm not a medical person at all so I'm no way trying to diagnose anything.
It's obviously best to know what's causing it and worth another chat with your GP preferably in person.
I'm trying to remember the R.I.C.E advice
Rest, ice compression, elevation?

I have booked to to gp again in couple.of weeks some times hurts but it mainly hurts around my ankle looks puffy yesterday was worst wen I finally went into bed my feet wear relaxed they ache so badly0

Pleased you're seeing GP again @ella1992
There's tendons that run around the ankle that can get inflamed and cause tendonitis and swelling, but the GP is the one to properly say what's going on 👍
Perhaps try a nice cooling foot bath?
I like to put a few drops of lavender oil in mine to relax or if I'm fed up it's a bag of frozen peas and a tea towel.
Hope you find some comfort in the meantime.0 -
I won't go to a&e and wait 9 hours I would rather wait for my GP it seems to have eased today still little puffy on the side and bottom of leg on left side looks slightly little bite bigger I'm trying to look into it0

Like Cressida said, elevate it. I might add it is likely a minor injury that your body is trying to fix, muscle tear or connective tissue injury. I'd recommend staying off of it. Walk as little as possible and use a crutch or cane when you do walk.
Your body is trying to tell you something. If pampering it for a week or two doesn't help then at least that is information. Swelling is generally due to inflammation which usually indicates an injury. Another possibility is an old injury not properly healed having been irritated again.
Not a doctor. Just offering some things to look into.1
