UC is changing- how will it affect me as a person with a mental health condition?

Hi. I suffer from having had psychosis and schizophrenia and I'm currently still on medication. I am married and my partner used to be employed full time but unfortunately is no longer and gets contracted here and there sometimes but is still actively seeking fulltime employment.

I don't work however I have been looking for part time work just not equivalent to 18 hours per week.

How will my income be affected by the proposed changes coming into effect today? Will it stop completely? Will I still get a LCWRA payment? The news has left me feeling anxious and stressed.

Please can someone assist me in understanding how this affects someone with a serious MH disability?

Thanks in advance.

There’s been no changes made today for those that have LCWRA and you have misunderstood what you read.

The 18 hours refers to the AET and this only applies to those that are in the all work requirements group. You have no work commitments so it doesn’t apply.
