I'm totally confused about the UC migration from legacy benefits. Heard now that for people on ESA will start getting notices to apply for UC from September onwards the DWP have brought it forward. It hopes that by end of 2025 everyone would have got migration notices. It's so stressful. I don't have internet at home and would need help with completing online form. Don't know where they will start with but I know it's very stressful.can someone shed light on all this0

If you don't have internet access at home then you can ring the helpline once you eventually receive the letter and claim that way. Your claim will be paper based and not digital. This means you will receive letters in the post and not have access to any journal.how-to-claim\
Please also note that managed migration applies to Income Related ESA only. If your ESA is either New style or the old contributions based then you will not be migrated across. If your ESA is a mixture of CB and Income Related then the CB will continue to be paid as normal but be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.

Heya @Nemisis6 and welcome from me too.
I can see you're already getting some top advice, I just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello. I'm just going to move your discussion over to the UC category, so more people will be able to see, I hope that's ok?0 -
Thanks for advice I have been told that they will work through UC notifications on area and postcodes and start with ESA work related groups first and job seekers income support. Getting different answers all the time. And DWP are waiting to get feedback on this decision to start sending out migration notifications. It could change I suppose between now and September. They are rushing this through before thinking about it. .y mental health issues have gone through roof thinking about it. I struggle with forms. I hope you can get through to someone on UC help line if u need help. Someone said on this site that if u are on ESA and in support group u don't need to be re assessed but someone else told me you do. Talk about stress.0

Who told you which order they are going to send out the migration letters? For those that are claiming Income Related ESA with or without housing benefit they haven’t announced who will be first. Those migrating from ESA that are currently in either of the groups do not need another WCA. For Support Group you will be entitled to the LCWRA element of UC from the start of the claim. This has always been the case, even for those moving across through natural migration.0

Something on TV that was talking Migration notifications being started in September said they will work through different areas first they thought. Don't know how they will start. I'm in ESA support group . I know in September a new capability company will be doing all the assessments instead of maximus and atoms. Don't know if I will have to go through another re assessment. My stress levels will go of the chart like the last one I went to0

There’s been no official announcement for what way they will send on the migration letters yet.I’ve not heard of any changes happening with who does WCAs from September.0
