Band 1 is for highest priority and band 5 is the lowest priority.
I'm currently at band 2.
Is there anyone here who could estimate how long I'll be waiting for a flat? My support officer said 8months..
Also do different town councils have different waiting times?
(For example Birmingham has a waiting time of 1 year.
Compared to London which has a waiting time of around 2 years.)

All areas are different. When I was placed into urgent medical priority last August I was told a could be waiting a considerable length of time. I was offered a house in December and moved in January. If you have a bidding system that you can bid on then make sure you only bid on properties in areas you would like to live, otherwise if you’re offered a property and turn it down it can affect your banding.Hopefully you won’t be waiting too long. Good luck!1

It varies so much from area to area, no one can tell you how long you will be waiting unfortunately.
I was Band C with medical points (so your band 3), I expected to wait 2-3 years but was offered somewhere after 13 months.
After bidding I was number 4, the housing officer moved me up to 2, then number one dropped out as they found somewhere else.
It was meant to be!1 -
Hey could someone explain to me what supported accommodation is? I can go for this while I wait for a flat..
Just wondering what it is
